Overview

An UHNW family with residences on the Upper East Side and in the Hamptons is seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to oversee housekeeping operations and uphold exceptional standards of presentation, organization, and service. While the role is based primarily in New York City, the successful candidate will also provide rotational support in the Hamptons during the summer months. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for a seasoned professional who combines strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach. The schedule will typically be 9 am-5 pm Monday through Friday, with flexibility required on occasion to stay later, e.g., if the family is entertaining.

The Executive Housekeeper will oversee all aspects of housekeeping, laundry, wardrobe management, and household care while leading a team of two housekeepers. The role requires extensive experience caring for fine garments, antiques, artwork, silver, and specialty furnishings, as well as the ability to maintain consistently high standards throughout the residence.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader who fosters a positive, collaborative team culture and delivers a refined level of hospitality and service. Working alongside an established household staff, they will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the home and an exceptional experience for both the family and their guests.

The family is typically in residence in New York City from September through June and spends the summer months in the Hamptons, where there is a second housekeeping team consisting of two housekeepers.
