Overview

A family of three residing in Chelsea, NY is seeking a nanny to help care for their 2-year-old daughter.

 

Their daughter attends school from 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday through Friday.

 

The couple are flexible and are offering two different schedules:

 

Live-out - 3.30pm to 8pm, Monday through Friday, 1 evening of babysitting, and Saturdays 9am-6pm. (Total of 34.5 hours per week).

 

OR

 

Live-in/out - 7.30am-8.30am, and then 3.30pm to 8pm Monday through Friday, 1 evening of babysitting, and Saturdays 9am-6pm. You will be required to work full days Monday through Friday during the school holidays where Saturdays will be flexible. With this schedule you will be paid a full-time salary all year round to ensure your availability. 

 

This role is to start at the end the end of August, beginning of September.

Responsibilities

  • Everything related to the care of the child, including but not limited to her laundry, organizing and tidying her room, etc
  • Preparing healthy meals
  • Planning fun activities and outings 
  • Have a firm but fair approach with the ability to set boundaries, following the parents' preferences 
  • Support bath and bedtime routines
  • Ensure the child's school bag and clothing is prepare for the next day
  • Travel with the family if required
  • Babysitting

Qualifications

  • The candidate should be patient, loving, and kind
  • Ability to support their daughters development
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willing to obtain one

Requirements

  • Valid US work authorization 
  • Travel ready passport
  • Fluent English speaking 
  • French speaking is a plus
  • Ability to care for the child overnight when the parents travel (2-3 nights per month)
  • Babysitting

Salary and Benefits

  • $35 per hour (if only working the afternoons and Saturday)
  • $80K + (DOE, if working the full-time role)
  • PTO 10 days
  • 5 sick days
  • Health insurance
  • Metrocard (if live-out)
