Overview

A busy single-parent household in Manhattan is seeking a proactive, organized, and dependable Part-Time Family Assistant to support the daily operations of the home and assist with after-school logistics for one school-aged child.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, staying several steps ahead, and helping a household run smoothly. While there is an after-school childcare component, the position is primarily family assistant-focused and includes meal preparation, household organization, errands, laundry, and general household support.

The family lives in a compact, well-maintained city apartment and is looking for someone who takes pride in keeping a home running efficiently. The ideal candidate is resourceful, city-savvy, and comfortable navigating Manhattan independently.

The schedule is Monday through Friday from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, guaranteeing 30 hours per week. The family is also open to discussing a Monday through Thursday schedule from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM for the right candidate.

This is a long-term opportunity for a candidate seeking stability, consistency, and the chance to become a trusted part of a family's support system. The desired start date is no later than July 6.
