Overview

A private family of three living in NYC near Central Park is seeking a part-time nanny to care for their 18-month-old daughter. The schedule for this position is flexible, up to 3 days per week. They are open to the days that work best for the nanny, with approximately 7-8 hours each day. 

 

Their daughter thrives on consistency, and it would be helpful if the nanny could help implement a set routine. The primary focus of this role is establishing a solid daily schedule, setting gentle yet firm boundaries, and actively fostering the toddler's developmental milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a consistent daily schedule for naps, meals, and playtime.
  • Set age-appropriate boundaries to help the child thrive
  • Plan engaging, screen-free activities that encourage speech, motor skills, and social milestones
  • Take their daughter to local NYC classes, activities, and visit the playground in Central Park
  • Prepare and cook healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the child
  • Read at least a few books a day and engage with educational toys such as puzzles/stacks

Requirements

  • Honest, reliable, and communicative.
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Understands the importance of privacy and confidentiality in the family home 
  • Experience with children of this age group
  • US work authorization 
  • Able to provide excellent references
  • 10+ years experience
  • Background check will be required
  • NDA
  • Personal experience raising children is highly valued

Salary and Benefits

  • $35 per hour
  • Approximately 20–24 hours per week.
