A sweet young family in Harrison, NY is seeking a full-time live-out nanny for their 2 children ages 3.5-years-old and 3-months-old. The schedule will be 40-45 hours a week with weekends always off. It will be 4 days a week Monday through Thursday 7am-6pm; come the fall when the Mother goes back to work from maternity leave, the schedule will be from 6:30am/7am until 5pm/6pm; the weekday off then will be Tuesdays or Fridays. Their home is within walkable distance to Harrison train station for a candidate who would need to commute. The family has a cat and a dog (German Shepherd/former seeing eye dog who is a sweetheart) so the candidate to hire cannot be allergic to pets.

Responsibilities

All standard care for a toddler and baby:

  • Snack prep
  • Meal prep for the children and feeding them nutritious and age-appropriate meals
  • Laundry for the children
  • Keeping their spaces/rooms/play area tidy
  • Taking the children on walks or to activities as needed
  • Driving the toddler to and from his preschool (he attends 3 hours a day 5 days a week but in the fall it will be 5 hours a day)
  • Reading to the children
  • Playing with the children
  • Overseeing developmental milestones
  • Keeping the children safe, secure, and feeling loved!

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed driver with a clean driving record
  • The family strongly values a nanny who is trustworthy, reliable, and loving
  • Must have experience caring for a toddler + infant at the same time before

Salary and Benefits

  • $35-43/hour
  • 2 weeks paid vacation
