Overview

A welcoming, calm Upper West Side family seeks a full-time Housekeeper. The usual schedule will be Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm, although flexibility around the shedule would be appreciated. An immediate start is possible for the right person.

Responsibilities

The housekeeper will be responsible for two apartments within the same block - the main 3-bed home and a 2-bed separate apartment used mainly as an office.  Responsibilities will include:

  • Daily cleaning of the main apartment to include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, wiping down surfaces etc
  • Regular changing of bedlinen and towels
  • General household organisation and tidying (making beds, general maintenance of household spaces to a high standard)
  • Regular deep cleaning, including developing daily, weekly and monthly schedules
  • Bi-weekly cleaning of the office apartment
  • Occasional care for a very friendly and lovely German Shepherd dog (including some walks if possible)
  • Laundry and ironing where appropriate
  • Coordinating deliveries, laundry and other outsourced services
  • Assisting with general household tasks as needed, including online ordering 
  • Occasional meal preparation for the family if confident and happy to do so!

  • Reliable and consistent, with excellent judgement and common sense
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to assist beyond core duties when required
  • Comfortable working around children

Salary and Benefits
