Overview

A family in Brentwood, CA is seeking a fantastic educationally-minded nanny in the LA area for their 6.5-year-old son. The role is live-out and full-time Monday through Friday 2pm-9pm. The child is going to school in the fall so the role mainly involves after-school care including driving, help with homework, and creating/implementing developmentally-enriching activities. The role begins mid-August 2026. Weekly working hours of 35/week will be guaranteed.

Responsibilities

  • Creating developmentally-enriching activities/adventures (bonus if they involve educating on AI and/or Tech)
  • Being able to jump in and facilitate doing a science project with the child or a themed (I.E., studying dinosaurs) museum trip is needed for this role; a nanny passionate about education, exploration, and adventure
  • Picking up the child from school (family doesn't have a car for the nanny to use so must have their own car)
  • Preparing after-school snacks and meals for him (I.E., dinner)
  • Overseeing his nighttime routine (bathing, brushing teeth, etc.)
  • Doing his laundry
  • Can sleep over on occasion
  • Contacting a vendor if something in the home needs fixing/repair
  • Bonus if a second or third language is spoken

Qualifications

  • Someone who wants to be in a role for years to come; they are looking for a longterm fit

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed driver with a clean driving record
  • Must have a car to use for work purposes
  • Fluency in English
  • Former educator/teaching experience
  • Must be local to the area, client is not relocating a candidate for this role

Salary and Benefits

  • $1,800/week; client wants to pay an all-inclusive weekly flat rate (no separate healthcare stipend, etc.).
