Overview

A Long Island, NY family is seeking a live-in or live-out housekeeper/nanny to work Monday through Friday from 7am-7pm (can leave at 6pm for live out) with breaks throughout the day. The family has 3 children ages 2, 4, and 6-years-old. The Father works outside of the home and the Mother is the primary caretaker but role will assist with childcare as needed. This role is 60% housekeeper and 40% nanny. The family has a weekly deep cleaner as well. The family lives in an 8,000 sq. ft. home with 5 main bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. There is a separate private bedroom and attached bathroom for a live-in candidate. The family has a small dog.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping and maintenance of home organization
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning bathroom, doing the dishes, etc.
• Laundry and ironing
• Making beds and changing linens
• Inventory management for household supplies
• Partner with the Mother on childcare needs from morning routines to after school support; baths, dressing, meals, etc.
• Driving the children as needed (family will provide a car)
• Childcare when needed during the day (Housekeeping will not be expected at the same time)
• Assist with simple food prep and meals as schedule permits

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping and childcare experience
• Flexible and hard working
• Able to travel domestically with family 1-2 weeks during the year

Requirements

• Vaccinations up to date
• A respectful and discreet disposition
• At least 5 years previous experience in a similar role
• Comfortable around dogs
• Licensed driver with a clean driving record

Salary and Benefits

  • $80k-110k
