A warm, private family in New York City is seeking an incredible NCS to assist with the care of their first child, who will be born in December 2026. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert, evidence-based childcare while helping create a nurturing, well-organized environment. The schedule for this role will be 7 days from 7pm- 7am for 3 months.  The family is open to a candidate interested in transitioning into a long-term nanny.

The family is looking for someone calm, confident, and highly experienced—a trusted professional who can work independently within a private household.

• Wash and prepare all bottles
• Clean and maintain all pumping equipment and accessories
• Keep all feeding supplies organized and ready
• Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of the child at all times
• Implement and maintain safe sleep practices aligned with current guidelines
• Help establish and support feeding and sleep routines appropriate for developmental stages
• Handle all diaper changes and maintain diaper changing systems
• Monitor baby's wellbeing, feeding patterns, and developmental progress
• Maintain pristine cleanliness of all baby-related spaces
• Clean and replace burp cloths, baby clothing, and linens promptly after use
• Daily cleaning and organization of toys and play equipment
• Monitor inventory; proactively alert parents when supplies need reordering
• Prepare strollers and diaper bag for walks and outings 
• Ensure readiness for restaurant outings and other public venues
• Track routines, observations, and milestones
• Report directly to mother (and father as appropriate)
• Coordinate thoughtfully with the broader household as needed
• Recommend age-appropriate products and equipment as needed

• Not necessary, but the family is vegetarian and would be great if this person also did not eat meat

• Minimum 8 years of professional nanny experience
• Experience with infants as young as 3 months, including overnight
• Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) certification 
• Knowledgeable about developmental milestones, and educationally focused 
• Current Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
• Up-to-date vaccinations (Covid, Flu, MMR, RSV, Tdap)
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Excellent, verifiable references from previous families
• Prioritize safety always 

• $50-60/hr DOE
