Overview

A warm, international family based in Miami Beach is seeking a part-time, temporary nanny to support their 15-month-old son during the morning hours. This role will focus on engaged, play-based learning, developmental support, and active care, with occasional assistance for a 5-month-old infant as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-1pm.

The family values a gentle yet structured approach, and is looking for someone who can balance nurturing warmth with confidence and guidance to help foster early learning, focus, and manners.

This is a temporary role through mid-June, with potential travel and future opportunities for an exceptional fit.

  • Family is multilingual (Greek and Mandarin spoken in the home); English exposure is a priority for the children
  • No driving required
  • No heavy household duties or meal prep required
  • Family has additional support in the home, including a full-time nanny for the infant

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive care for a 15-month-old, with a focus on developmental milestones and learning through play
  • Plan and engage in age-appropriate, stimulating activities (reading, movement, sensory play, etc.)
  • Support early table manners and behavioral guidance in a gentle, structured way
  • Maintain flexibility to adapt activities based on attention span and energy levels
  • Assist occasionally with a 5-month-old infant as needed
  • Supervise and support water play/swimming (pool access within residence)
  • Maintain a tidy play environment throughout the shift

Qualifications

  • Background in education, child development, or similar discipline
  • Experience with play-based learning approaches
  • Prior experience in private homes or similar high-level childcare environments
  • Flexibility for potential weekend support or travel (not required, but a plus)

Requirements

  • Native or fluent English speaker (Spanish as a secondary option)
  • Strong background in early childhood education, teaching, or similar field preferred
  • Experience working with toddlers and infants
  • Strong swimmer, confident supervising young children in water
  • Ability to be engaging, adaptable, and energetic
  • Warm, kind demeanor with the ability to provide gentle structure and guidance
  • Available to start immediately

Salary and Benefits

$45/hourly DOE
