A warm, professional couple in Washington, DC is seeking a highly experienced Executive Housekeeper to manage and maintain their beautifully designed 10,000 sq ft residence. This is a long-term, full-time position for a candidate who takes pride in their work, operates with independence, and brings a high level of polish and consistency to the home.

The household has a casual, down-to-earth atmosphere, but values professional standards, discretion, and exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be confident, proactive, and able to take full ownership of the home while working in harmony with the principals.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 11:00am to 7:00pm
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

• Maintain the home to an immaculate, guest-ready standard at all times
• Perform hands-on housekeeping including deep cleaning, daily upkeep, and organization
• Laundry care including washing, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe maintenance
• Maintain household inventory and proactively restock supplies and groceries
• Light meal prep and kitchen assistance; willingness to learn family preferences
• Set and clear dining areas; assist with light entertaining support
• Oversee and coordinate vendors, service providers, and contractors
• Run errands including shopping and household-related tasks
• Maintain outdoor areas (patio tidiness, light plant care, grill upkeep)
• Support overall household systems, organization, and efficiency
• Collaborate lightly with an Executive Assistant on scheduling/logistics

• Experience in fully staffed or semi-formal homes
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to implement and maintain systems
• Warm, positive, and even-keeled personality (able to take feedback well)
• Confident working independently without micromanagement
• Basic cooking skills or enthusiasm to learn
• Seeking a long-term, stable position

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in a similar Executive Housekeeper role
• Strong, verifiable references
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
• Highly detail-oriented with a proactive, self-starting mindset
• Comfortable managing a large, high-end home independently
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable vehicle
• Maintain a polished, professional appearance in line with household standards
• Discreet, dependable, and consistent
• Comfortable working in a home with a cat
• Background check required

• $120,000+ DOE (flexible for the right candidate)
