A private family based in the West Village is seeking a full-time Driver with a background in military or law enforcement service. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of New York City and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, discretion, and professionalism. Responsibilities include transporting the family and children to school, appointments, and various activities, with a consistent focus on security and efficiency.

The family resides in Bedford during the month of July, and the Driver will be expected to commute daily to that location. In August, the family travels, offering the Driver a substantial period of reduced or off-duty time, providing a balanced schedule overall.

The general schedule is Tuesday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with flexibility required as needed. This is an excellent long-term opportunity for a highly qualified candidate seeking to work with a respectful and well-established family.

Include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing the routing, directions, and additional due diligence in advance to ensure the most efficient and timely transportation         
• Communicating with all appropriate staff members, making sure all the needs of the principals are being met on an ever-changing calendar/schedule.
• Accounting for maintenance of the vehicle/s; ensuring all records are up to date, and all services are recorded.
• Maintaining the vehicle/s at all times, i.e., gas levels, cleanliness inside and out, and comfort for all principals.
• Have the ability and instinctive reactions to any unsafe condition/s or travel and make immediate decisions for alternative movement 
• The ability to work in tandem or opposite to the other driver, making sure all the needs of the family are met. Must be a team player and work together for a seamless shift/s..
• Must be discreet and professional at all times when around principals, family, and all staff members.
• The ability to multitask and handle situations under pressure.
• The ability to appropriately respond to and mitigate any threats or inconveniences that may occur.
• Proactively and continuously maintain situational awareness at all times.
• Having the ability and instincts to anticipate the principal's needs and wants.

• Comfortable driving children and genuinely caring about their safety and well-being

• License to carry
• Background in law enforcement and or previous military, executive protection, corporate, or physical security experience.
• Basic computer skills
• CPR/First Aid certified
• Defensive and Offensive driver training/certification or proficient experience in this area.
• Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check
• Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Comfortable driving a Lincoln Navigator
• Must be able to speak fluent English.
• Legal to work in the U.S.
