A sweet family in Laurel Heights, San Francisco is seeking a full-time live-out or live-in nanny for their two children ages 8-years-old and 5-years-old. They are expecting a baby in the Summer but will have a Newborn Care Specialist until October or November and then the nanny will care for the baby as well around that time. The ideal schedule is Monday through Friday 7am/7:15am-5:30pm/5:45pm for about 50-55 hours a week (though they are open to alternative hours). They are seeking a nanny who wants a role long-term for many years to come; they will consider candidates who have a track record of longevity in roles (2-3+ years at the minimum) and are in the Bay Area currently or want to relocate to San Francisco and have strong ties to the Bay Area.
● Helping with the mornings of getting the children off to school and the afternoon duties of getting the children home from school and the after-school routine
● Playing with the children
● Organizing toys
● Until baby duties are in effect around October or November, optional family assistant duties include ordering groceries, doing returns, managing vendors, organizing things around the home, etc.
● When the nanny is caring for the baby, all standard baby care job duties will be in effect
● The family does employ a cleaning service so there are no formal housekeeping duties required for this role, apart from keeping things tidy and organized around the home
● There is occasional travel desired, but not required, for this role as well
● Longevity in roles; 2-3+ years at the minimum
● Local to the Bay Area or strong ties to the Bay Area if relocating
● Experience caring for children of multiple ages (specifically, infants, toddlers, and school age)
● Someone kind, warm, and a role model for their children
● Values safety, is fun, has good energy, has a bit of silliness, someone who knows how to bring calmness, someone who provides a sense of structure, is a team-player, and someone who will incorporate how the parents desire the children to be raised- such as no time-outs and treating the children as proper individuals
● The candidate to hire must be a licensed driver with a safe driving record and a car will be provided for duties related to work
● The Mother-in-Law does spend time with the family in the household as well so the candidate to hire must be comfortable working around other family members in the home
● $40-50+/hour
● If live-in, live-in accommodations include a bedroom and bathroom on a separate basement floor (in the near future they may have an ADU for the candidate to reside in)
● 2 weeks guaranteed vacation
● 5-7 holidays off
● Monthly healthcare stipend
