Overview

Seeking an exceptional travel nanny for first-time parents currently located in Europe.  This is a long-term position for a wonderful candidate who can provide nurturing, collaborative support.   The principals travel extensively and you are likely to travel between Europe, the UK, Hawaii, the US and other countries regularly - a flexible and adaptable approach is therefore essential.   All accommodation, food, insurance etc will be covered by the family.  Please note that the schedule will vary depending on location, however expect 24/6 for the first few weeks, dropping to 12hr shifts thereafter, 5 or 6 days per week.  The position will start early July 2026, possibly in Mauritius.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, supportive and consistent care for a newborn baby, working closely alongside the parents and their chosen maternity practitioner
  • Encourage a warm, loving, and stimulating environment that supports baby’s development and well-being
  • Maintain a calm and supportive environment, ensuring Mum is well-rested, hydrated and healing well after the birth 
  • Sterilise and manage breastfeeding/pumping supplies and bottles
  • Establish a structure and routine when appropriate, gently encouraing healthy sleep and feed schedules
  • Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities (e.g., tummy time, sensory play, reading, music, swimming)
  • Support the eventual weaning process, and help planm and prepare age-appropriate meals as the baby transitions to solids
  • Maintain nursery spaces, including tidying play areas, ensuring a clean and organised environment, and manage baby-related supplies
  • Ensure safe sleep practices
  • Collaborate closely with parents to implement and adapt routines that support developmental milestones
  • Regular packing and unpacking, and researching new locations

Requirements

  • Significant prior experience caring for infants and toddlers, with verifiable references
  • Highly organised, proactive, and pitch-in with your approach
  • Comfortable working in a fully staffed environment, able to maintain discretion and professional boundaries
  • Strong communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Calm, gentle and nurturing presence
  • Extremely flexible and adaptable, and comfotable leading a fairly nomadic existence
  • Ability to take direction and align with parenting preferences
  • Highly trustworthy
  • Native/fluent English-speakers preferred, fluency in another language appreciated

Salary and Benefits

Generous salary on offer to the right candidate, with health insurance, 4+ weeks of holiday per annum, and the possibility of flights home being covered.
