Overview

A family relocating to New York City in early August is seeking a full-time, live-out nanny to care for their 3-year-old son and support the afternoon and evening rhythm of the home.

Portuguese-speaking is highly preferred and strongly prioritized, as the family is looking to provide consistency and language continuity for their son during his transition to a new city, school, and environment.

This role is ideal for a candidate who is warm, engaging, and structured, with a strong understanding of early childhood development.

The anticipated schedule is Monday through Friday, approximately 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with some flexibility required as the parent finalizes schedule. The role will center around school pickup through the evening routine.

The family will begin virtual interviews in advance, with in-person meetings taking place in New York during May. The role will officially begin in early August, aligned with the family’s relocation.

Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach are essential, as the family is seeking a caregiver who can align with both the parent’s and child’s evolving routines during this transition.
