A kind and busy downtown-based family of six is looking to hire a full-time nanny to help with their 4 kids (ages 4, 3, and 2, 6-month-olds). The family already has one full-time caregiver but is looking to add to their team. The role can be Monday through Friday or ideally will cover one weekend day. The role will be 40-50 hours per week with a 7 pm end time. This role requires flexibility and the ability to travel occasionally, including travel to Montuak in the summer.

• Work in partnership with the parents, full-time nanny and full-time baby-nurse to coordinate coverage and care for all 4 children.
• Provide a pitch in mentality and attitude to help ensure the daily routines and care run smoothly. 
• The three-year-old has special needs and receives PT, speech therapy, and other supportive therapies, and a significant amount of time is spent taking to/from appointments and working on developmental goals at home - candidates will be expected to support this setup moving forward. 
• All aspects of full-charge care when required
• Maintain all daily routines: naps, meals, and activity schedules
• Child-related housekeeping: laundry, tidying bedrooms, vacuuming playrooms, organizing supplies
• Engage the child in age-appropriate play and enrichment activities
• Support developmental milestones through tracking and active participation
• Provide a warm, structured, and nurturing environment
• Help with light cooking (Plus if comfortable preparing simple family meals)
• Travel with family domestically and eventually internationally- as well as travel preparation: packing/unpacking, planning logistics- rare
• Generally, being a very positive and supportive presence in the home.
• Create structure and systems in the home to help develop independence
• Occasional pet care- dog has a dog walker, but will need a willing attitude to pitch in

• Experience working with multiple young children
• The parents are actively involved, and the candidate must know when to fade in and out of the background while still tending to child-related tasks, and know when to step back in, especially when the family is sharing an intimate moment
• Have a level of sophistication when interacting and addressing the family’s broader family and guests
• Emotionally intelligent, professional, and discreet
• Strong team player who is also capable of taking initiative while being respectful of parents’ wishes
• Experience working with children with special needs or a background in fields such as physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), speech therapy, or special education would be a Major plus for this role and family.

• Comfortable with pet care

• US passport, Green Card or EAC 
• Passport ready and willing to travel both domestically and internationally, roughly twice per year
