Overview

A warm and busy family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a team of two full-time nannies to start immediately. The family has four children- two girls and two boys (ages 6, 4, 2, and almost 4 months). The nannies will work collaboratively to cover all daytime childcare needs. This is a highly team-oriented role requiring exceptional communication and partnership.

This is a screen-free household. The children are active, engaged, and involved in a variety of activities and interests. The family values an approach centered on respect, emotional regulation, and clear, firm boundaries. The home is warm and informal in tone but places a high value on professionalism, reliability, and strong communication. The family also employs a full-time housekeeper. The ideal candidates are energetic, organized, collaborative, comfortable managing multiple children (including an infant), and confident handling long workdays.

 

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • 6:30/7am – 7:30pm (with some required flexibility)
  • Approximately 62.5-65 hours per week
  • Summer schedule remains similar (children attend day camps for much of the summer)
  • Minimal travel (ideally 1–2 weeks per year)
  • Very occasional overnights may be required

Responsibilities

  • Team-based care for four children (6, 4, 2, and 4 months)
  • Confidently manage up to three children independently for short periods
  • Older infant into toddler experience required
  • School drop-off/pick-up and after-school activity transport (older children attend school 7:45am–2:45pm)
  • 2-year-old attends preschool 8:00am–12:00pm
  • Plan age-appropriate activities and maintain daily structure
  • Provide full infant care including diapering, feeding, nap schedules, sterilizing bottles and toys, and supporting developmental milestones
  • Manage child-related household tasks (laundry, organizing, preparing meals/snacks, managing supplies)
  • Prepare homemade meals (primarily vegetarian during the week; minimal red meat or fish; no chicken or pork; no allergies)
  • Coordinate schedules and activity sign-ups
  • Schedule and manage playdates
  • Provide homework help for older children
  • Supervise children in and around the pool
  • Drive children to and from school and activities
  • Maintain a calm, positive presence while setting appropriate boundaries
  • Communicate clearly with parents and collaborate with additional household staff

 

This role is structured and supported- consistent school and activity hours allow time to complete child-related responsibilities during school hours.

Qualifications

  • Experience caring for multiple young children (infants/toddlers) and elementary-aged children
  • Comfortable working as part of a two-nanny team
  • Warm yet confident in setting limits
  • Comfortable with long workdays
  • Strong swimmer and confident supervising around a pool
  • Confident driver
  • Emotionally intelligent with strong situational awareness
  • Spanish or Portuguese speaking is a bonus (not required)

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • CPR certified
  • Fully vaccinated
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Minimum 5 years of full-time nanny experience
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred (especially in Early Childhood Education)
  • Non-smoker
  • Strong swimmer and comfortable supervising around water

Salary and Benefits

  • $130,000–$150,000 annually for the proposed schedule
  • W-2 employment
  • Guaranteed hours
  • 2 weeks PTO (one week chosen by family)
  • 5 sick days
  • Health stipend negotiable
  • Nanny car provided

This position can be live-in or live-out.

  • If live-in, the family will provide a private bedroom and bathroom on a separate floor within the main home.
  • Open to relocation candidates; relocation expenses would be the nanny’s responsibility.
