Overview

A warm family in River North is seeking a full-time nanny to care for their two children, ages 4 and 2.

Their beloved long-term nanny is transitioning out of the role to start her own family and will be present during the on-boarding period to provide a thoughtful hand-off and ensure a smooth transition for both the children and the new nanny.

The family would especially love to find a nanny with a background in Early Childhood Education who enjoys thoughtfully incorporating school readiness, learning, and curiosity into everyday routines.

The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, guaranteeing 44 hours per week, with the opportunity to increase to approximately 50 hours for candidates interested in additional hours.

On Wednesdays, the schedule may occasionally extend slightly later, with a later start on Thursday to balance hours. Optional Tuesday coverage for approximately five - six hours is a plus but not required.

The 4-year-old will attend full-day camp this summer and school in the fall, while the 2-year-old will remain the primary focus of daytime care until mid-afternoon.

The family values a nanny who creates engaging, developmentally appropriate learning opportunities while maintaining structure and consistency.

The family is seeking someone who is proactive, organized, and invested in building a long-term relationship with their children. A transition period beginning in mid-May is preferred to ensure continuity and a smooth adjustment.
