Overview

A private household is seeking a full-time nanny to support the care and development of two young children.

This is a team-oriented role within a well-run home, ideal for a candidate who is professional, collaborative, and confident supporting both childcare and early academic development. The family is seeking someone who views this work as a long-term career and is excited to grow with a family over time.

The children are active, curious, and highly engaged in their daily routines. The role requires a nanny who can keep pace with full, active days, while also providing structured academic support, including early tutoring and reinforcement of foundational learning.

 

The schedule averages four working days per week, totaling full-time hours. Flexibility is required based on the family’s needs, including occasional weekends and travel with advance notice.

This is an opportunity for a thoughtful, energetic candidate who enjoys being hands-on with children while also bringing an educational lens to the role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for two young children.
  • Engage children in active, hands-on play, including outdoor activities and structured daily routines.
  • Support early academic development, including homework guidance, tutoring, and reinforcement of school concepts.
  • Introduce and lead age-appropriate educational activities beyond the classroom.
  • Help foster organization, independence, and executive functioning skills.
  • Maintain organization of children’s spaces, including toys, books, and clothing.
  • Assist with child-related household tasks such as laundry and light tidying.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain consistency and structure.
  • Travel with the family as needed with advance notice.
  • Maintain professionalism, discretion, and awareness within a private home environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Education
  • Master’s degree in Education is highly desirable and will be compensated accordingly. 
  • Experience supporting school-aged learning and early tutoring.
  • Ability to provide academic support beyond preschool level.
  • Experience working with active children in structured, high-energy environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset with comfort working in a team setting.
  • Demonstrated longevity in prior roles and interest in long-term placement.
  • Energetic, proactive, and motivated with a strong work ethic.

Requirements

  • Fluent English required.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • High level of discretion and respect for privacy.
  • Professional presentation and communication style.
  • Flexibility with schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel.
  • Ability to manage full, active days with young children.

Salary and Benefits

  • Guaranteed annual compensation between $115,000–$135,000 DOE
  • High performers typically earn above the guaranteed salary through yearly bonuses
  • Top-tier compensation considered for exceptional candidates with advanced degrees and history of strong performance  
  • Full benefits package provided. 
  • Relocation stipend is available for the right candidate.
