A calm, private household on the Upper East Side is seeking a part-time personal assistant to support day-to-day household operations and personal logistics. This is a home-based, on-site role in a quiet environment and is best suited to someone who values discretion, organization, and thoughtful service over speed or visibility.
The pace of the role is generally unhurried and steady, with periods of downtime. That said, the assistant must be on-site and available during scheduled hours, even when the principals are traveling, to ensure continuity of operations. Over time, the assistant will be trusted with increased autonomy.
The household has a friendly standard poodle, so comfort with dogs is required.
The schedule will guarantee 20 hours per week, ideally Monday through Thursday for about 5 hours per day. On-site presence is required, including during periods when the principals are traveling, to maintain continuity of household operations.
The preferred start date is January 28, with a March start also possible if needed.
This is a long-term, part-time opportunity offering stability, autonomy, and a respectful working environment for the right candidate.
Provide household coordination and personal administrative support in a private-home setting.
Manage calendars, scheduling, reminders, and general correspondence.

Assist with digitizing paper-based systems and building a structured digital filing system (Dropbox-based).

Maintain basic tracking lists and spreadsheets related to household matters and events.
Coordinate logistics for secondary residences, including advance communication with caretakers prior to arrivals.
Support planning for an annual holiday gathering, occasional dinner parties, and possible periodic fundraisers.
Remain independently on-site during the principals’ travel to manage mail, deliveries, and household continuity.
Provide light dog support, including occasional walking, transportation, or coordination of care as needed.
Demonstrated longevity in prior roles, particularly in private household or long-term support positions.
High emotional intelligence, empathy, and patience, especially when working with elderly principals.
Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Comfort working in a quiet, private environment with minimal supervision.

Calm, steady demeanor with a professional sense of humor and clear boundaries.
Technologically confident, particularly with digital organization and record-keeping.
Receptive to feedback and able to adjust without defensiveness
Discreet, emotionally mature, and respectful of privacy
Maintain a consistent on-site presence during scheduled hours.
