Overview

A loving growing family is seeking a long-term weekend nanny for their delightful 3-year-old daughter.  The role is Friday from 2 until 8pm, and then 12 to 8pm Saturday and Sunday. This will be 22-24 hours per week and is flexible for the right person.  The family travels to DC one weekend out of the month and you must be able to go. This role can be full-time is the candidate is willing to do housekeeping making the role a 4 day job. 

Responsibilities

  • A-Z childcare
  • Keep the home tidy- there is a housekeeper who will handle deep cleaning, but the goal is for the nanny to help keep their home generally tidy and organized
  • Preparing healthy snacks and meals for the family, but a cook performs most of the cooking
  • Light housekeeping and laundry for the family
  • Kitchen maintenance
  • Light pet care- walk a small dog 

Qualifications

  • Looking for a seasoned, professional candidate who is savvy in high-profile environments.  
  • Warmth and overall kindness/positivity in disposition are a must
  • This is a gentle, artistic household that values a balance of structure and professionalism, and seeks someone who can help create a loving, warm, creative, and fun atmosphere at home. 
  • The ability to speak a second language would be a plus!

Requirements

  • Availability for international and domestic travel 
  • Work well with other staff: a full-time nanny and a housekeeper
  • Must be able to live-in when visiting a second home in DC (1x month) and Florida (2-3x per year)
  • This is a long-term position that will ideally evolve into the high school years.  You must be willing to make a long-term commitment. 

Salary and Benefits

  • $45 per hour
  • Metro Card
  • PTO- 3 sick days and 5 vacation days 
  • $100 per month towards Health
