A client based in New York and who resides a portion of the year in California is seeking a superlative professional butler. This role will involve being based in Westchester, NY with time spent in Southampton, NY during summers and Bay Area, CA during winters. 4-5 months of the year will involve working 2-3 weeks in CA and then having 2-3 weeks off, so this is a rotational role for a good part of the year. When in NY, the role will be a regular work schedule with 5 days on and 2 days off. For both CA & NY, the schedule needs to be very flexible but will be split up into 2 shifts a day, working either the morning shift from 6am-2pm, or the midday/evening shift from 2pm-9pm. For NY, the schedule is done in advance but does change for the days of the week, however, the schedule will be 2 consecutive days off and 5 days on.

Typically, while on a rotation, butlers can expect to work 5-6 days straight with 1-2 days off.

The client won't pay for relocation. Ideally, the candidates are already in commuting distance to Westchester or Menlo Park.

The job duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Serving the client (husband and wife) and their guests
• Working closely with culinary and housekeeping teams
• Place setting and clearing
• Beverage service
• Guest reception
• Caring for linens
• Household errands
• The candidate to hire will need to be available for potential travel; the client also will spend some time in Arizona for a few weeks

• The candidate to hire must have a calm demeanor. Note: this will be vetted for during the interview process by the client’s hiring team. Being all over the place with answers or too energetic in the sense of not having a discretionary calm won’t work for this role as they are seeking a professional, poised, and discretionary butler; a high caliber of professionalism exemplified in resume, during interview processes, and within the household. • Salary is between $120k-140k with the higher side of that range for California employees. They also offer a discretionary bonus at end of year plus benefits and 401K. Role is eligible for overtime.
