Overview

A caring family in Dubai is seeking a fluent French speaking governess to help care for two of their children aged 10-and 11-years. Their siblings have their own nanny. The children attend school full-time.

This is a live-in position and the schedule will be 12-hours per day, six days per week. Ideally the candidate will already be based in the UAE, but the family is open to considering candidates from Europe. 
 
This is a fully staffed household and the children will be the sole responsibility of the governess.

Ideally, the candidate should have a solid professional background, be very well educated, and demonstrate excellent etiquette and manners, along with a strong understanding of best practices and protocols in childcare. Fluency in French is essential.

Responsibilities

The governess will solely focus and be responsible for the day-to-day care of the two children

  • Accompany the children for school drop-off and collection, (the family driver will take you)
  • Supporting the children with their homework
  • Helping with preparation for future tests 
  • Making sure uniforms etc. are ready for the next day
  • Scheduling playdates and activities
  • Nurturing their curiosity and creativity, and generally being a wonderful, calming but positive influence in their lives

Qualifications

  • A professional demeanour, longevity in roles, and a real love for children 
  • A background in education and familiarity with tutoring would be appreciated

Requirements

  • French speaking
  • 10+ years experience
  • Experience working in a similar role
  • Please be loving, consistent, reliable, and flexible 

Salary and Benefits

  • 23,000 AED per month
