Overview

A loving family in Tribeca is seeking a full-time driver/butler to join their home. The schedule would be Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week.  The role is focused on driving, with a candidate who has prior experience in the hospitality industry.  The vehicle will be provided.  The family is not looking for former military or law enforcement, but for a candidate with a hospitality background.  You should be comfortable stepping in during parties and events to help organize, serve, clear, and entertain guests.  The candidate should be comfortable with formal place settings, handling wine, and wine knowledge.  Parties will be held several times a year, with more frequent sessions during specific seasons.  The family is seeking a local candidate in the NYC area and is not looking to relocate anyone at this time.  This is an immediate hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily driving duties for the principals and the children
  • Prior experience or knowledge driving a Maybach is a huge plus
  • Support with dinner parties
  • Ability to serve and clear for both formal and informal parties
  • Knowledge of wine and wine service
  • Run local errands for the principals and team as needed
  • Communicate with other household staff and vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a private driver 
  • Experience driving children
  • Valid and clean driver's license
  • Prior hospitality background is a plus
  • Formal and informal dinner service training is a plus
  • Wine knowledge/service is a plus

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering a guaranteed salary of $150,000 annually for 40 hours per week.
