A private, active family in Woodside, California, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented full-time housekeeper for their home, which is just under 6,000 sq. ft. The family is actively seeking a larger home in the same area and would like the candidate to stay with them long term. The role may be live-in or live-out; a private one-bedroom cottage is available on the property for a live-in candidate. The candidate also has the option to live during the week and go home on days off. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8/9 am to 5/6 pm with some flexibility. This is an excellent opportunity for the right professional housekeeper seeking a long-term position. 

Include, but are not limited to:

• All aspects of general cleaning, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, and cleaning/sanitization of bathrooms and the kitchen, including appliances
• Tidying up and maintaining throughout the day
• Laundry, ironing, and garment care, including delicate fabrics (silk, cashmere, fine knits)
• Bed linen care, making of beds, and ironing sheets weekly or as needed
• Maintain organization of closets and pantry, and ensure items are stored properly
• Proactive identification of cleaning and maintenance needs
• Occasional assistance with child/pet care as an extra set of hands when the family is home (not primary care – the family has a nanny)
• Set the table as requested for informal gatherings

• Knowledge of how to clean and care for various surface types, such as wood, stone, etc.
• Strong experience and knowledge of how to care for delicate garments and high-quality wardrobes
• Pet friendly – The family has a German Shepard and two cats
• Prior experience in a similar role
• Valid driver’s license and flu vaccination, not required, but would be a plus
• Legal to work in the U.S.

The family is offering $50+/hr DOE, and if live-in or out, PTO, and a negotiable medical stipend.
