Overview

A busy entrepreneurial principal in TriBeCa, NYC is seeking a true executive housekeeper to help her keep her duplex apartment and lifestyle tidy and guest ready.  The schedule would be Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm, with flexibility for additional hours or swapping a day for when the principal is in town.  The position is looking to hire asap.

Responsibilities

  • Daily upkeep and maintenance of a 4,400 duplex
  • Two outdoor terraces
  • Spring/summer - gardener comes - light help with watering, able to rake some leaves and wipe down the picnic table 
  • Household organizing and maintenance
  • Packing/unpacking
  • Laundry
  • Ironing of linens such as napkins and sheets
  • High-end clothing - knowing how to treat clothing and shoes/when to clean or polish
  • Order supplies for the household online
  • Light cooking, teachable meals by principal but they should like food to cook
  • One small dog - chihuahua who needs water/food, walks and teeth brushed
  • Errands - returning items to the stores
  • Handle vendors - comfortable calling a plumber, explain what's going on
  • Household maintenance - keep track of when filters were changed on vac, when the batteries were changed on the smoke alarms, stuff like that.
  • Dinner service - how to serve, how to set a table, cleaning up after dinner parties and gatherings. 

Requirements

  • Must be legal to work in the US
  • Prior executive housekeeper experience
  • Flexible to work extra hours or swap their days when principal is in town, occasional weekends and dinner parties

Salary and Benefits

The client is offering up to $45/hour, depending on experience.
