Overview

A warm, busy family with two children (aged 2.5 years and 3 months old) is seeking a loving, energetic nanny who can confidently care for both children and transition smoothly between infant and toddler needs. The position is full-time, and the family will guarantee 50 hours per week, Monday–Friday, from 7.30 am – 6.30 pm (10 of these hours will be incorporated into the guaranteed salary at overtime). Mom will be on maternity leave through March, but this role will ideally start asap to ensure a seamless transition for everyone.

Responsibilities

  • Provide warm, attentive care for a toddler and an infant simultaneously
  • Handle school and activity drop-off and pickup for the toddler, often with the baby (all within walking distance from the family's home) 
  • Create a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment for both children
  • Maintain a tidy, organized home environment
  • Assist with family laundry when possible (only if time permits)
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding schedules, routines, and needs

Qualifications

  • Professional experience caring for infants and toddlers at the same time
  • Warm, energetic, patient, and highly reliable
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with parents
  • Comfortable managing transitions, schedules, and outings for two young children
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain with the family's support)
  • Ideally an educational background in Child Development or ECE.

Requirements

  • US passport, Green Card, or EAC
  • Up-to-date vaccinations (Flu/ Tdap/ MMR/ RSV)
  • Willingness and ability to manage stroller travel and daily drop-offs/ pick-ups
  • Punctuality and consistency with a 50-hour weekly schedule
  • Readiness to support light household upkeep when time permits
  • The family has a cat (not hypoallergenic), so candidates must be pet-friendly

Salary and Benefits

  • $40–$45 per hour commensurate with experience
  • MetroCard provided
  • $400/month healthcare stipend (the family is also happy to discuss an HRA if candidates prefer this)
