Overview

A friendly, welcoming central London-based family based seeks a rotational travel nanny for their 18-month-old child.  The family are UK-based, however will be spending months at a time in the US.  The schedule is likely to vary, depending on whether the family are in the UK or not, so please be comfortable with flexible rotational periods - shorter while in the UK, and up to a month or so while in the US. 

Responsibilities

The parents are likely to be around for much of the time, and Mum is very involved with the child's care.  The successful applicant will need to be comfortable working alongside the parents and with playing a supportive role if required.  Responsibilities will include:

  • All the usual nursery duties relating to the child
  • Keeping the child's belongings, room, and space clean, tidy and organised at all times
  • Ensuring regular socializing with other children
  • Fully engaging and being active with the child on a daily basis

  • Working alongside Mum, other nannies, and other staff members
  • Ensuring a cohesive, supportive and drama-free environment that allows the child to thrive and fully supports the family 
  • Some meal prep when required (knowledge of food allergies would be appreciated)
  • Planning age appropriate sensory and engaging activities, and researching fun activities and classes in the area

Requirements

This position is very much about finding a wonderful, warm and experienced nanny who can slot in to the current dynamic and be a brilliant team-player. 

  • Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience, and previous roles in HNW families would be beneficial
  • Applicants should also be flexible, able to tag-team with the parents, and comfortable recognising when to take the lead and when to step back 
  • A kind and friendly personality is essential, as is a calm, measured approach and a pitch-in mentality
  • Candidates must be happy to sleep in the same room as the child when on duty
  • There is a friendly, small dog in residence who is very much part of the family
  • Allergy experience would be preferred
  • Candidates must be legally able to work in the UK, and should also have a current B1/B2 visa, US passport, EAC or green card
  • Some kind of educational background would also be valued, but isn't essential
