Overview

A warm and loving family in Miami Beach is seeking a part-time, temporary nanny for their two-year-old daughter. The ideal candidate is personable, mature, and confident in setting and maintaining boundaries while still leading with kindness and calm, positive guidance. The child is social and energetic, and the family is looking for someone who can balance affection with structure and consistency. The role is best suited for someone who understands toddler development, has effective strategies for managing boundary-testing behaviors, and can maintain a harmonious routine. The term will be for approximately 4 months (April) and may extend to 6 months (June) The general schedule will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 12pm to 6pm and Saturday or Sunday – flexible schedule, either a day or night shift of 8 to 10 hours. Looking to hire immediately. Interview times may be delayed during holidays. Local candidates only, please.

Responsibilities

  • Always ensuring the safety and well-being of the child
  • All aspects of full-charge childcare, including meal plan(provided)/prep, feeding, diapering, potty training assistance, and bathing
  • Provide attentive, developmentally focused childcare 
  • Support daytime routines, activities, and play.
  • Maintain a tidy environment and organize child-related areas.
  • Collaborate with parents on strategies, routines, and developmental needs.
  • Proactively and collaboratively research activities, learning opportunities, and approaches, and share recommendations with the parents.
  • Child-related housekeeping – laundry, toy sanitation, dishes
  • Provide structure in a thoughtful way 
  • Encourage imagination and creativity

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a similar role
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Experience with toddlers and age-appropriate developmental strategies
  • Ability to swim is not required, but would be a plus
  • Legal to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering $35 to $40 per hour DOE.
