Overview

A warm and caring couple living in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking a temporary night nanny to care for their 4-month-old son. The position will start early January and will initially be for 4-months, with the option to extend if needed. The schedule will be 10-hour nights, 6-days per week. This is a live-out position, so the candidate must be local to the area.

 

Their son is currently sleeping 4-6 hours per night before waking for a feed. He will then fall back to sleep until the morning. 

 

The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive, engaging, and energetic, discreet, and knowledgeable about childhood development. 

 

A day nanny will be joining the team in January and will be working in tandem with the night nanny, so great communication skills will be required.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role encompass everything related to the child and their care throughout the night.  

  • Continue to establish and maintain a good sleep routine
  • Manage all feedings and overnight needs of the child
  • Facilitating hygiene routines
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with overnight care
  • Discreet and willing to enter into a NDA
  • Warm and caring personality

Requirements

  • This is a live-out position, so the candidate must be local to the Fort Lauderdale area
  • Candidates should be certified in infant/child CPR
  • Legal to work in the US
  • Excellent references
  • Fluent English speaking
  • This is a pet friendly household with the family owning a mini Berna-doodle hypoallergenic dog
  • Candidates should have previous experience in night nanny roles

Salary and Benefits

  • $40-$60 per hour, based on experience
  • 5 personal days
