A warm and welcoming UHNW family with children, newly settled in New Jersey, is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Private Chef. This is a full-time, long-term position within a respectful and collaborative household environment. The chef will work closely with the family and the household team to support daily meal service as well as special events. You must be able to keep a Kosher kitchen. Flexibility is essential, as the schedule may include some evenings, weekends, and holidays and will always include working Shabbat. Occasional travel may be requested.
Prepare exceptional daily meals for the family and their guests, spanning relaxed family dinners to more elevated, formal occasions.
Develop thoughtful, seasonal menus that align with the family’s tastes and wellness goals.
Source premium ingredients, consistently selecting the highest-quality and kosher-appropriate products.
Maintain a pristine, well-organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Plan and execute menus for celebrations, gatherings, and various forms of household entertaining.
Work seamlessly with additional household staff to ensure smooth service and effective communication.
Uphold the highest level of discretion, professionalism, and respect for the family’s privacy.
Prior experience as a Private Chef in UHNWI residences or within luxury hospitality settings.
Degree or certification from a reputable culinary institute.
Additional credentials in areas such as nutrition, food safety, or specialty culinary techniques are a plus.
Strong understanding of kosher culinary practices and the ability to incorporate them naturally into menu planning.
Ability to balance elevated, restaurant-quality cuisine with wholesome, family-friendly options.
Demonstrated excellence in both fine dining preparation and health-conscious family cooking.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time, inventory, and kitchen operations efficiently.
Adaptability to an evolving schedule, including holidays/SABBATH and high-demand periods.
Discretion, integrity, and a collaborative mindset.
Willingness and ability to travel with the family as needed.
