Overview

A professional family on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is looking for a top-notch weekend nanny to assist with care of their three children, aged 6, 4, and 1. The schedule for this role is Saturday and Sunday, 7am-7pm, or 8am-7pm. The family is also open to providing 3-5 additional hours on weeknights, depending on availability. A majority of the role is to care for the 1-year-old, but the nanny should be willing and able to care for all three children as needed. This position begins in January- the family is flexible on the exact start-date and can have someone begin sooner, or wait until the end of January.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the morning routine for children; breakfast and getting children ready for days' activities
  • Tag-team with parents on older children's activities and caring for the 1-year-old
  • Engage children with age-appropriate play and educational activities
  • Maintain a balance between keeping the baby's routine (napping and meals in the home) while also proactively getting them out on walks and local adventures 
  • Assist with evening routine; dinners and getting children ready for bed
  • Maintain tidiness of home (no deep cleaning required)
  • Follow the family's vegetarian lifestyle when feeding the children

Qualifications

  • Able to work alongside parents in a team environment 
  • Experience with all ages, particularly with toddlers, but also with older children 
  • Positive, caring, can-do attitude
  • Willing and able to care for three children simultaneously as needed

  • Legal to work in US
  • Experience with toddlers and older children
  • Excellent, verifiable references

Salary and Benefits

  • $35-$45/hr based on experience
