Overview

A dynamic family of 7 in Brookline, MA a suburb of Boston, is seeking a fantastic housekeeper to assist in the care of their large home. The schedule for this role is either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday. The hours during the week can be flexible (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm), and the hours on the weekend are 10am-6pm. The family is ideally looking for a local candidate, but they will consider relocating for the perfect fit. If relocating, then a history of longevity with families is required for consideration. 

Responsibilities

  • All care of a 9000 square foot home
  • Daily upkeep and tidying
  • Deep cleaning on a schedule to maintain the home at the highest level 
  • Creating and maintaining organizational systems
  • Household laundry, including pressing/ironing sheets, linens, and understanding care of high end clothing and fabrics 
  • Working alongside other staff, including other housekeepers, a chef, and several nannies 

Qualifications

  • Excellent team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to read a room, discretion, and knowing when to step out or fade into the background 
  • Experience working in high end luxury households with exceptional attention to detail and extensive knowledge of how to care for high end materials - i.e. cashmere drapes, silk, marble, hardwood floors etc.
  • Experience and willingness to assist with service would be a bonus
  • Experience with laundry and ironing/pressing linens

Requirements

  • US work authorization
  • Willing to follow a household dress code 
  • Able to work around and with the family dog
  • Willing to work scheduled holidays (with holiday pay)

Salary and Benefits

  • $38-45/hr.+
  • Full benefits including health insurance
