A wonderful family on the Upper East Side is seeking a local newborn care specialist/infant nanny team to start with them ASAP for their baby born in May. 24/7 coverage is needed and will be split between two caregivers, ideally one doing nights and one doing days. The contract will be for approximately 6 weeks, until December 15, with possibility of extending. There will be one week of travel over Thanksgiving during which one caregiver will work the full week. Their priority right now is teaching the baby to self-soothe and sleep on her own using evidence based techniques. 

• Care and engagement of the baby including but not limited to sleep, feeding (baby is exclusively bottle fed), and routine management. 
• Light housekeeping related to the baby, which will include keeping baby's spaces organized, clean, and tidy and sanitizing any toys or feeding items including bottles 
• Communicating with the parents about milestones, activities, temperament, and needs and collaborating with them on care.
• Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
• Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby care while respecting the family’s personal preferences
• Encourage healthy sleep habits and follow safe sleep guidelines 

• The right candidate will have a positive and warm demeanor, glowing references, and plenty of experience supporting first-time parents.
• Knowledgeable and supportive personality, able to kindly guide new parent
• Polished and professional 

• Willing to share a sleeping space with baby
• Experience sleep training infants of this age (4-7 months old)
• Legal to work in the US
• No dog allergies (one friendly dog in the home)
• Candidate must have own local housing or live within easy commuting distance as this is a live-out position when not working
• This is a scent free and natural home and must be willing to follow family's preferences on this (no perfume or scented detergent, natural nails only, etc.)

Hourly pay between $40-50 depending on experience and certifications; open to daily day or night rate
