Overview

A wonderful, private family in Miami Beach, Fl is seeking an experienced, professional Newborn Care Specialist for their baby due in August. The position is available for five to six months with the option to extend into a more permanent position. The schedule is live-in 20/7. Accommodations consist of a guest house with a private entrance. Local candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Sole newborn care, including feeding support, sleep conditioning, diaper changes, bathing, and establishing healthy routines
  • Supporting parents with best practices for newborn care and development
  • Monitoring baby’s schedule, cues, and overall well-being
  • Maintain a calm, safe, and nurturing environment for the baby
  • Provide professional guidance/suggestions as it pertains to the care of the infant while respecting the family’s preferences.
  • Recommend products for baby and nursery – keep an inventory and replenish
  • Child-related housekeeping, including laundry, keeping the baby’s areas organized and tidy, cleaning, and sanitization of toys, bottles, and pump parts
  • Always prioritizing the safety and well-being of the child
  • Provide emotional support to parents, helping them adjust

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 strong references and 5+ years’ experience as a newborn care specialist
  • Up-to-date vaccinations
  • Ability to commit to at least 5 months
  • Infant CPR certified

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering $40+/hr DOE, and is open to a flat rate.
