Overview

A warm and professional family in Beacon Hill, Boston, MA, is seeking a full-time nanny for their baby girl, who will be 2.5 months old at the time of hire. The position will ideally start by the end of September. The schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, with some flexibility as their daughter's schedule evolves. They are looking for a nurturing, proactive, and experienced caregiver to join their family for one year (with the possibility of a two-year commitment). The ideal candidate will have deep experience with infants, a strong understanding of early developmental milestones, and a thoughtful, organized approach to care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, loving care for our infant (feeding, diapering, naps, playtime)
  • Engage in developmental support: tummy time, reading, sensory activities, milestone tracking
  • Maintain detailed daily records of baby’s eating, sleep, play, and milestones
  • Baby-related housekeeping: laundry, dishes, tidying toys, sanitizing bottles
  • Prepare bottles and age-appropriate meals/snacks as baby grows
  • Take baby on neighborhood walks and outings (museums, libraries, playgroups)
  • Administer medication if needed
  • Occasional travel with the family preferred but not required

Qualifications

  • Calm, loving, highly engaged, and communicative
  • Thrives in a home where parents are involved and respectful. The mother works from home and will be present during the day, and the nanny will have time for breaks
  • Someone who brings expertise and thoughtful care, takes initiative, and truly enjoys supporting the growth and well-being of infants

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience caring for infants
  • Former RN experience a huge plus
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications required
  • Up-to-date on TDAP, flu, and COVID vaccinations
  • Familiarity with multiple parenting styles (e.g., Montessori, RIE, etc)
  • Highly organized, proactive, and communicative
  • Multi-level home; must be comfortable with stairs
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Non-smoker
  • Multiple excellent references required

Salary and Benefits

  • $28–$35/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Guaranteed hours
