Overview

Freelance IT Support (Contract, 1099)
Hourly: $200–$250

We’re a fully remote company of 25 team members, primarily based in the U.S. (with a couple abroad), looking for a seasoned IT professional to provide ongoing support and guidance. Our team primarily uses Apple/Mac devices (computers and phones), with one Windows user. We’d love to partner with someone who has experience supporting small, remote businesses and who works with other freelance clients. Strong references are a must.

What we’re looking for:

  • A review of our current systems and tools, with recommendations for improvements in security, safety, and efficiency

  • Availability on an hourly, as-needed basis for troubleshooting (anything from small software issues to coordinating support for larger problems like website crashes)

  • Ability to coordinate with our web team, hosting provider, or other vendors when needed

  • A proactive approach to sharing knowledge: e.g. a short monthly training video and/or bi-weekly “tips and tricks” emails to help our team get the most out of our tools

  • Flexibility to support a global team working primarily Monday–Friday, but across different time zones

Who you are:

  • A seasoned IT consultant or freelancer with strong Apple/Mac expertise (Windows familiarity a plus)

  • Experienced in supporting remote teams and small businesses

  • Knowledgeable in best practices for device management, backups, security, and productivity tools

  • Communicative, reliable, and able to explain technical solutions in plain English

Details:

  • Contract role (1099)

  • Hourly basis: $200–$250/hour

  • Remote/flexible, with preference for someone U.S.-based or able to support U.S. business hours when needed
