A lovely family located in Litchfield County, CT are seeking a temporary nanny to help care for their 8-month-old daughter for about 3 weeks from August 25^th-the week of September 15^th. The family is looking for a nanny who has great experience with infants their daughter's age, can help their daughter develop and keep to a routine, will emphasize imaginative and creative play and development, and truly engage with their daughter. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, but they are flexible if a candidate prefers 8am-4pm. This position is live-out only, and will only consider local candidates with a reasonable commute.

• Provide overall care for the baby
• Maintain the parents' philosophies
• Help ensure the baby is on a feeding routine and assist where needed
• Help implement and/or maintain a sleep routine and schedule when needed
• Provide professional guidance as it pertains to baby, while respecting the family’s personal preferences
• Engage with baby: provide fun age-appropriate activities, supervising any activities that might come up, go on walks, encourage developmental play, help with developmental milestone. She already enjoys being read to, independent play on her playmat, and time outdoors
• Child related light housekeeping to help maintain an organized space, including laundry, sanitizing toys, and helping tidy baby spaces

• Caring, nurturing, able to take direction
• Strong communication skills
• Comfortable around animals - they have a non-shedding mini poodle
• Calming nature

• At least 5 years of professional nannying experience with at least 3 references  
• At least 3 years of experience with infants around 8 months of age
• Great communicator
• Must be comfortable around pets - the family has 1 non shedding mini poodle
• Can easily navigate the role with involved parents
• Up to date on all vaccinations, or willing to update before start date
• CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to certify
• Legal to work in the US

• Hourly rate is $25-$40, based on experience
