Overview

A young growing family in New York City is seeking an experienced, reliable, trustworthy, and dynamic Spanish-speaking ROTA nanny for their 2 children, aged 2.5, and a newborn due in January. The schedule for this role will be week on/off, alternating with a second nanny, and this position is live-in while on duty. The family is open to local candidates and also willing to consider fly in/out for a great fit. In both homes, private ensuite accommodations are provided for the nanny. There will be some domestic and international travel, especially during the summer, of up to 3-4 weeks, so the nanny must be able to adjust the rotation schedule to accommodate. The starte date is flexible for the perfect fit. 

Responsibilities

  • All childcare, including managing sleep, meal, and hygiene routines
  • Infant care (the infant will have an NCS for the first 3-4 months)
  • Planning outings and activities, and providing an engaging and stimulating environment.
  • Making basic child-friendly food if needed (the family has a chef who prepares most meals)
  • Keeping children's belongings organized and child-related spaces tidy throughout the day
  • Planning and packing for travel

Qualifications

  • Team player, as this is a fully staffed home and the parents are both in and out throughout the day
  • Comfortable with full-charge as parents do not want to micromanage
  • Energetic, proactive, and committed to being fully engaged withe the children
  • Warm and maternal
  • Willing to get down on the floor and play
  • Highly organized, capable, and meticulous and able to keep up with a fast-paced home
  • Willing to be outside in all weather as the older child loves being outdoors
  • Ability to take direction, but also anticipate and take initiative as needed

Requirements

  • Spanish speaking
  • Previous experience as a full-time ROTA nanny, particularly with infants
  • US drivers license and experience/comfort driving in the suburbs. City driving is not required
  • Experience with infants and toddlers, and able to care for multiple ages simultaneously
  • The family has a small dog, so candidates must be comfortable working around pets
  • US work authorization required 
  • Comfortable supervising children in the water
  • Experience traveling with infants/toddlers on long flights and across time zones
  • Very limited phone useage during working hours unless communicating with the parents or in an emergency
  • Candidates for this role must be COVID vaccinated and must be willing to stay up to date on other recommended vaccinations
  • Willing to adjust ROTA schedule to accomodate travel
  • Willing to work holidays while on shift

Salary and Benefits

  • $130-150k++ annually, DOE
