Overview

A fun and dynamic family of six based just outside of Boston is seeking a fantastic full-time chef. The schedule for this role is Tuesday through Saturday, approximately 10am-6pm, and the chef will prepare lunch and dinner live, and leave breakfast options in the fridge. The family has four children, ages 2, 5, 13, and 15, as well as several staff members who often eat meals with the family. The family travels to Cape Cod during the summer (4-6 weeks) as well as to Boston 4-6 weekends per year, and the chef should be willing to accompany them. 

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of lunch and dinner daily, with breakfast and snacks left in the fridge for family, staff, and guests
  • Grocery shopping and keeping the home stocked with staples
  • Kitchen and pantry organization
  • Healthy, clean cooking with an emphasis on organic, fresh, and local ingredients
  • Varied cuisine- the family enjoys all types of flavors
  • Willingness to cook in the main home, and also in the family’s adjoining property
  • Assist with events upon request
  • Travel with the family 4-6 weeks in the summer, and 4-6 weekends per year (within the state)

Qualifications

  • Sunny disposition and positive attitude, happy to work around children
  • Calm and kind demeanor
  • Great balance of creativity, and willingness to stick with client preferences

Requirements

  • Local to Boston or willing to relocate to the area
  • US work authorization
  • Driver's license (the family does not live near public transportation)
  • Willing to travel 4-6 during the summer, and 4-6 weekends per year

Salary and Benefits

  • $145-160k annually, DOE
  • Relocation assistance if needed
