Overview

A busy family on the Upper West Side is searching for a fantastic nanny to join their team. The ideal schedule would be Tuesday-Thursday 8am-2pm, Fridays 8am-8pm, and Saturdays 8am-2pm.  There is another nanny who works afternoon/evenings as well as opposite days so these hours can be flexible for the right person. 

Responsibilities

  • A-Z childcare for a 2.5 year old in tandem with another caregiver 
  • Keep the home tidy- there is a housekeeper who will handle deep cleaning, but the goal is for the nanny to help keep their home generally tidy and organized
  • Cooking and laundry are necessities- preparing healthy snacks and meals for the family, but there is a cook who does most of the cooking. 
  • Light housekeeping and laundry for the family, kitchen maintenance
  • Light pet care- walk a small dog daily 
  • Household tasks and errands (organizing groceries, unboxing packages, taking inventory of supplies, etc.). 
  • Travel when needed 

Qualifications

  • Looking for a seasoned, professional candidate who is savvy in high-profile environments.  
  • Warmth and overall kindness/positivity in disposition are a must
  • This is a gentle and artistic household, that enjoys a balance of structure and professionalism along with someone who can help create a loving, warm, creative, and fun atmosphere in the home. 

Requirements

  • Availability for international and domestic travel 
  • Work well with other staff - there is a part-time nanny and a housekeeper.
  • Must be able to live-in when visiting the second home in Florida (2-3x per year) and Washington DC where family lives. 
  • This is a long-term position that will ideally evolve into the high school years.  You must be willing to make a long-term commitment. 

Salary and Benefits

  • $45 per hour gross
