Overview

Seeking a fabulous, professional maternity nurse/infant nanny for a 5-month-old girl in Tel-Aviv, Israel.  Ideally this will be a long-term role and so the schedule will change as the baby matures.  Initially, however, the family would appreciate 24/hr coverage, 6 days per week (although they can be a little flexible around this).  The family would love to find someone available now, but finding the right fit is their priority and so they can wait a few months if necessary.

Responsibilities

Please note that the parents work from home and so candidates must happy to tag-team if needed, while at other times taking sole charge.

  • All usual nursery duties relating to the infant, including nappy changing, keeping her areas clean, tidy and organised, laundry and ironing, feeding etc
  • Engaging with her older sibling, including occasional care for her
  • Bringing a gentle, nurturing, warm and baby-led approach
  • Researching, suggesting and finding fun local activities and outings in the area
  • Developing a supportive social group for baby in the local area
  • Supporting with the weaning process
  • Ensuring she is hitting developmental milestones, and really engaging with her general health and well-being (physical, mental and emotional)
  • General help around the home - emptying the dishwasher, tidying up, wiping down kitchen sides etc
  • Occasional errands
  • Regular travel (particularly to London)

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of previous experience with infants
  • Sterling references
  • Gentle, warm and nurturing personality, with a real love for children
  • Attentive and professional approach, able to slot into the family dynamic and work seamlessly alongside other staff members
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a friendly, positive outlook
  • Candidates must be clean, tidy and organised
  • Ideally should be confident swimmers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel, which will likely involve extra hours and some weekend help
  • Excellent English

Salary and Benefits

  • From £350/24hrs initially, depending on experience
  • Accommodation provided in separate apartment in same building
