Overview

A warm and well-established couple in Chelsea, NYC, is seeking an experienced and nurturing newborn care specialist to care for their newborn, due September 9th (via c-section). Candidates should be available to start September 7th in order to prepare and familiarize themselves with the living space and baby’s room and items.

 

The term will run for 4 weeks and the schedule will be 24/7 for the first 2 weeks and 12/7 for the final 2 weeks (7am-7pm). The family is open to both live-in and live-out candidates.

 

The family will be hiring a full-time nanny thereafter, so this position has the potential to transition into a permanent commitment for the right candidate, if this is of interest to candidates- the family is looking to build a lasting relationship with the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
  • Providing general support and assistance, where required
  • Help to clean and sterilize bottles
  • Maintain a clean and tidy nursery

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in newborn care, including establishing healthy sleep routines, supporting mom during the postpartum period, and providing loving, attentive care.

Requirements

  • US passport, Green Card or EAC 
  • Candidates should be warm, professional, respectful of privacy, and passionate about caring for infants
  • The candidate must be comfortable around the family's friendly, medium-sized dog
  • COVID vaccinated, and up to date on Flu/RSV/Tdap and MMR vaccinations

Salary and Benefits

  • Highly competitive, DOE
  • For those candidates who require live-in, a separate bedroom with attached private bathroom will be provided
