Overview

A loving, respectful, and collaborative family is seeking a full-time, live-out dedicated career nanny to care primarily for their 10-month-old daughter. Both parents are currently hands-on, and mom is expecting a second child at the end of September. They will have an NCS for the first 3 months postpartum, but this role will remain focused on the toddler and will evolve once it is clear what the exact needs are. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with flexibility. Local candidates only.

Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:

  • All aspects of full-charge care, including diapering, feeding, napping, bathing, and developmental activities
  • Meal plan and prep of high-quality, organic meals for the baby (formula, purées, and finger foods)
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate developmental activities (sensory play, outdoor time, music, and language
  • Maintain baby's sleep and feeding routines (no “cry-it-out” approach)
  • Light housekeeping related to the child (laundry, room organization, sanitizing of toys, cleaning bottles, etc.)
  • Maintain a fragrance-free and well-groomed personal appearance while on duty (short nails and hair pulled back when necessary)
  • Maintain open communication and provide feedback to parents
  • Always ensure the safety and well-being of the child (children)
  • Bring a strong knowledge of infant care and early childhood development while remaining respectful of and aligned with the parents’ values, routines, and preferences—offering professional insight when appropriate, and working collaboratively to support the evolving needs of the child
  • Exercise thoughtful judgment and intuition in both routine care and unexpected situations, always prioritizing the child’s well-being
  • Open to occasional travel in the future would be a plus

Qualifications

  • Full-charge capability and independent judgment about the child’s care
  • Works intuitively and has common sense
  • Open, transparent, and collaborative
  • Comfortable working in a home where parents will be present (dad works from home occasionally, and mom is a stay-at-home parent)
  • Proactive and not afraid to ask questions or clarify needs
  • Warm, thoughtful, and professional
  • Familiarity with Asian culture. The ability to speak a second language would be a plus, but not required.

Requirements

  • Recent infant care experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of developmental milestones
  • Excellent hygiene and cleanliness practices
  • Comfortable with structured but evolving routines
  • Valid driver’s license (use of family vehicle provided)
  • Comfortable working in a household with cultural sensitivity (e.g., removing outdoor shoes when indoors and taking indoor shoes off when entering a child’s room)
  • Non-smoker
  • CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to update)
  • Up-to-date vaccinations
  • Being able to swim is a plus (Family has a pool)
  • Legal to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering $40–$45/hour (based on experience) + PTO & holidays (negotiable)
