A mature couple on the Upper East Side of NYC is seeking a companion for the 80-year old husband. The schedule will be Friday or Saturday 5pm to Sunday evening. This will be a overnight shift. Some occasional Saturdays will be requested. The principal does tend to stay up late. This role does involve some light housekeeping, meal preparation and cooking. The candidate to hire must understand the Father is in his final stages of life expectation. The role starts immediately.

• Being kind, loving, gracious, a good conversationalist, and efficient is desired for this role. This role is not a good fit for someone who wants to watch television during the day or be laid-back and inefficient; this role is for someone who can bring light and energy into the home and be kind
• Straightening up the home
• Making meals (nothing fancy) but cooking is required for this role.
• Being really attentive, such as getting water; helping him around and on nice days taking him to sit outside
• Principal is hard of hearing so having an excellent command of the English language in communication is very important; being clear in enunciation
• Light errands might be needed
• Minimal cleaning as they have someone on Mondays that comes and cleans
• Making the bed

• Someone who has confidence, attention to detail, and empathy care; not doing the bare minimum
• Experience with this situation is necessary 
• Being able to stay up with the father late night.
• Comfortable in an environment navigating different things whilst remaining pleasant and empathetic

• The client is open on compensation for this role and candidates will be asked to supply their hourly rate request upon applying that matches the qualifications outlined on the resume; starting at $35+/hour

• Vacation and sick time
