Overview

A loving family of four in Sneden's Landing, Palisades, NY (commutable from NYC), is seeking a part-time live-out nanny to help with their two children. The nanny must have prior experience in infant care, as there are a seven-week-old and a 3.5-year-old toddler at home. The family is looking for some overnight help, initially two or three days per week, and additional date nights. The potential schedule is Thursday through Saturday, but it is flexible to be discussed. The position will grow into a long-term role, and the hours will change as the baby grows. The position is hiring ASAP!

Responsibilities

  • Nightly care for a seven-week-old
  • Bottles, diaper changes, sleeping schedules. (The infant is formula-fed.)
  • Helping mom out as needed
  • Additional date night/childcare for the toddler when requested
  • Occasional meal prep for a 3.5-year-old with a very simple taste palette
  • Looking to build a relationship to grow into permanent childcare for both children as they grow.
  • There is no traveling for this role
  • Gentle, calm, charismatic, patient, and creative.  
  • Someone who loves music is a huge plus!

Requirements

  • Legal to work in the US
  • Available to start immediately
  • Live locally in NYC or nearby with a manageable commute.
  • Prior experience with infant and toddler age ranges
  • Fully vaccinated
  • A driver's license is a plus but not required
  • The ability to swim is a plus but not required
  • Speaking French or Russian, is a huge plus, but not required
  • Early childhood education background is a plus.
  • Non-smoker

Salary and Benefits

The family is open to a competitive rate, depending on experience.
