British American Household Staffing (BAHS) is seeking an experienced and intuitive placement specialist to join our close-knit team. This is a remote position for someone who thrives in a self-directed environment and is excited about helping exceptional domestic professionals find long-term roles with ultra-high-net-worth families. To be considered, candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an estate/house manager in a private home. This is non-negotiable — we're looking for someone who understands our clients and candidates from the inside out.
Schedule:
Flexible full-time schedule (approximately 40 hours/week)
Must be based in a major metro area: NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Houston, Austin, Chicago, or Washington D.C.
Occasional availability during evenings/weekends for urgent client needs or international time zones
Match top-tier domestic staff with UHNW clients across the country and internationally
Consult with clients to understand their unique staffing needs, household dynamics, and hiring preferences
Coordinate and manage the full recruitment cycle: sourcing, vetting, interviewing, presenting candidates, scheduling trials, negotiating offers
Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent follow-up, white-glove service, and attention to detail
Maintain accurate and organized records in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and contribute to team-wide initiatives
Stay up to date with market trends, salary benchmarks, and compliance standards in domestic staffing
Support other team members and departments as needed in our collaborative, start-up style environment
At least 5 years of experience as an estate/house manager in a private household (required to be considered)
Experience working in or with a domestic staffing agency is highly preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Impeccable written and verbal communication skills; comfortable liaising with UHNW clients and high-level candidates
Emotionally intelligent and culturally sensitive; able to manage client and candidate relationships with discretion and professionalism
Highly tech-savvy and confident using cloud-based systems, especially CRMs and applicant tracking software
Self-motivated and able to work independently without micromanagement
Thrives under pressure and can juggle multiple placements and timelines at once
Based in or near one of the required metro areas (NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Houston, Austin, Chicago, or Washington D.C.)
Reliable, high-speed internet and dedicated home workspace

Annual earnings typically range from $90,000 to $400,000+, depending on performance
