Overview

A family of five in Las Vegas is seeking a seasoned house manager to oversee the operations and staff of their primary residence (6400 square foot), with seasonal/ ad hoc responsibilities pertaining to 3 other properties in the area, none of which are staffed. This is a full-time position that will generally require the candidate to be available Monday through Friday, as well as part of the day on Saturday. This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead a new role.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

Property & Staff Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring all aspects of the residence are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and manage staff, including nannies, housekeeping, groundskeepers, security, pool maintenance, dog groomers and other service providers.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure proper upkeep, functionality, and cleanliness.
  • Maintain a guest ready, neat and organized environment

 

Vendor & Project Oversight:

  • Coordinate and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Oversee ongoing projects, renovations, and maintenance
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external service providers

 

Administrative & Logistical Coordination:

  • Draw up a household manual and implement household protocols 
  • Manage household budgets, expenses, and invoices.
  • Plan and execute events/ celebrations
  • Organize and oversee procurement and care of household supplies and assets

 

Confidentiality & Communication:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the principals regarding household matters
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on property status, staffing, and ongoing projects.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in managing budgets, contracts, and operational logistics.
  • Having a vendor list and network of contacts is a plus
  • Must be tech-savvy
  • Hands-on approach
  • No job too big/too small mentality
  • At least 10 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Superlative, verifiable, and preferably long-term references 

Requirements

  • US passport, Green Card or EAC
  • Clean and current driving record
  • Proven, verifiable experience in a similar role
  • Experience drawing up a household manual/ implementing household protocols 
  • Strong background in staff supervision/ management 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • High level of discretion and professionalism

Salary and Benefits

  • Annual base salary of $150,000-$170,000
  • Benefits package including medical, dental, vision and 401k
  • Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates who are not local
