A growing young family with a 6 month-old daughter and a one year-old mini poodle is seeking full-time housekeeper in the West Village, NYC, starting September 1st. Their home is roughly 2,500 sq ft along with an additional 500 sq ft of outdoor terrace space. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, one den/office and kitchen/living/dining room over two floors. The anticipated schedule will be 7am-3pm Monday through Friday. Candidates will not be expected to travel, but they will be expected to look after the family's property and dog while the family are out of town (they travel frequently).

Daily Responsibilities:

Vacuum and mop kitchen, living, dining , entryway areas

Handle packages from doorman; prepare and send returns

Dishes and dishwasher emptying

Wiping counters and dining+coffee table

Making beds

Taking out trash including from nursery

Light simple breakfast for parents and nanny; scrambled eggs/toast/fresh OJ etc.

Manage and refilling cleaning supplies

Light dog care; take on a walk, take to and from daycare, let out on terrace

Cleaning up after the dog, including removing waste from terrace

Ensuring the dog has fresh food and water

Weekly responsibilities:

Bedroom & bathroom full cleaning/turnover including scrubbing and vacuuming

Launder sheets & towels

Drop off and pick up dry cleaning, shoe cleaning

Laundry, fold clothing, occasional ironing / steaming

Dusting whole house

Organize and clean fridge, kitchen appliances

Stocking/tracking toiletries

Spring/summer/fall wipe down terrace seats and surfaces

Maintaining fireplace in winter

Water plants in terrace

Ad hoc responsibilities:

Packing and unpacking for travel

Set up and remove seasonal decor

• Must have at least 5 years' verifiable experience
• Must have superlative references
• Must be a conscientious and considerate team player

• US passport, Green Card or EAC 
• Must be pet friendly 
• Available to start in September

• $45/hr + $800/month ($9,600 total) HRA and all industry standards
