Overview

A warm and thoughtful family on the Upper East Side is seeking a reliable, caring, and proactive part-time nanny to support their growing family. With a toddler turning 2 this summer and a second baby due in late October, the family is looking for someone who brings warmth, strong communication skills, and excellent judgment to the role. This position is ideal for a nanny who genuinely enjoys child development, understands the importance of structure and flexibility, and is ready to be a supportive and steady presence in a family’s life.

The family values consistency and trust, and they are looking for someone who is emotionally attuned, dependable, and eager to build a long-term relationship. The role focuses primarily on childcare, with light household support, and has the potential to expand over time as the family’s needs evolve.

Schedule:

  • Mondays: 8am - 6pm
  • Weekends: Saturday shift (9am – 1pm) with the possibility for one additional shift, but will be guaranteeing 10 hours of pay for weekends regardless if you worked only the one Saturday shift.
  • Initial Schedule is subject to potential adjustment in October 2025

Start Date: Mid to late June (flexible to start sooner)

  • Adapt support for infant care routines, including scheduling and sleep training, as baby grows
  • Occasional flexibility for weekend travel or additional help (not required, but appreciated)

Qualifications

  • Warm, kind, and deeply invested in child development and well-being
  • Highly dependable with a strong sense of accountability and punctuality
  • Experienced with both toddlers and infants; confident in routines and baby milestones
  • Skilled communicator—proactive, respectful, and clear
  • Flexible and open to feedback; not rigid in caregiving approach
  • Energetic enough to keep up with an active toddler while maintaining safety and boundaries
